An E&O renewal application can ask which AI tools touch a client file before an agency has ever written the list down. Comparative raters, drafting assistants and AI-generated coverage summaries all count, not only anything explicitly branded as a chatbot.

The fix is mechanical: a one-page inventory naming each tool, its vendor, what it touches, whether a person reviews the output before it reaches the file, and who owns the vendor relationship. It replaces nothing in an agency's current AI use; it just makes it visible.

This is our own recommended practice, not a documented market trend this week — treat it as a starting checklist, not a survey finding.
