In short

You do not need to follow every AI announcement to make a useful decision. You need to understand the work you want to change, the evidence behind a claim, and what someone must check before an output is used.

The Renewal Report is for insurance professionals who want that distinction made clearly. Start with a path below, or follow the complete sequence from workflow selection to ongoing monitoring. These guides are editorial recommendations informed by the linked sources, not legal advice, coverage opinions, or results from our own product tests.

The complete reading path

If you run an agency

Begin with workflow selection, the pilot design, and client-data checks. Your first deliverable is a decision about one approved use, one owner, and one review process, not an agency-wide promise to automate everything.

Before a vendor conversation, open the vendor evidence worksheet. Ask for the definition behind each performance claim and record what has not been disclosed.

If you produce or service commercial accounts

Begin with source verification, human review, and measuring time savings. Your first deliverable is a checked output whose important statements can be traced to the relevant documents.

Use the source review log on a controlled sample. A faster first draft is only useful if the complete reviewed task is better.

If you underwrite for an MGA or program

Begin with workflow terms, extraction measurement, and permission boundaries. Keep preparing information separate from deciding what action to take.

Use the pilot worksheet to define expected fields, treatment of missing information, and escalation. A summary should not quietly turn an unresolved source conflict into an underwriting fact.

Keep the labels straight

News is for developments. Findings is for focused questions and the evidence examined. Tests distinguishes planned work from published results. Sources holds the document library; read each entry's scope and review status.

The guides and resources are here to help you act on that evidence. For how the publication handles claims, uncertainty, and corrections, read Methods.
