Know whose login that portal uses
Tools that work carrier portals by clicking through the screens are now being sold to insurance operations. Before one works a portal for your agency, settle whose login it uses.
Strada announced browser automation on 24 September that it says lets software work through carrier portals and older systems where no API exists. That is the company's own statement. We found no independent test.
The risk to the agency doesn't depend on which vendor it is. A portal session run by software typically looks like the user whose credentials it uses. If an automated entry is wrong, the record may point at a named producer.
Our checklist: separate credentials where the carrier allows them, the portal agreement read on automated access, a retrievable record of every entry, and a named reviewer at the agency.
