What happened

Insurify says the assistant could strip carrier quotes of limits, deductibles, eligibility terms and state-required disclosures.

Insurify, an online marketplace where consumers compare insurance quotes, said it has blocked Meta's Muse from its platform. Muse is an AI assistant that browses and acts on a person's behalf. Insurify says the tool could show carrier quotes without the context a buyer needs, including coverage limits, deductibles, discounts, eligibility conditions, which carrier is quoting and the disclosures states require. The concern as stated is about what the tool could do.

What is verified

The source's own statement, as linked above. Nothing beyond it has been independently checked by us.

What remains unclear

This is Insurify's own account of its reasons. It is not a finding that Muse has misquoted coverage, and it is not a regulator's position on AI assistants presenting quotes.

What it means for your book

More clients will arrive with a quote that an AI assistant summarized for them. If that summary dropped the deductible or an eligibility condition, it is still the version the client remembers, and the producer has to correct it before binding.

  • When a client brings a quote they got through an AI assistant, work from the carrier's own quote document before you talk price.
  • Go through limits, deductibles and eligibility conditions with the client line by line, and note in the file that you did.
